Underfloor heating systems | Henco

    Our systems

Henco has two different system types. Our ‘wet’ systems are so called because the pipe comes in direct contact with the screed floor. Alternatively, our ‘dry’ systems can be used for wall heating as well as underfloor heating.

Several factors help you determine which is your best choice:

    • New construction or renovation

    • Available floor height

    • Weight

    • Thermal insulation

    • Acoustic insulation

    System plate

This is an underfloor heating system where the pipe is mounted in a preformed system plate. This system is quick to install because it requires no special tools. Most importantly, you must place the system plate on a completely flat surface. Make sure you only provide a single additional layer of insulation under the plate. (Insulation thickness: 11 mm or 30 mm.)

    Wire matt

This is an underfloor heating system with wire mats. You install the pipe on the mat using fastening clips or wire ties. The wire mat is available in grid sizes of 10 cm x 10 cm, 15 cm x 15 cm and 20 cm x 20 cm. You need a tying hook to install our systems that have a wire mat with steel wire ties.

    Tacker

To install this underfloor heating system, you fasten the pipe using tacker clips. This system is widely used for installing underfloor heating in large areas. You need a tacker machine to install tacker clips. On average, you use three tacker clips for each metre of pipe. The length of the tacker clip depends on the underlying insulation thickness.

    RENO

The RENO12 system is ideal for low installation heights, for example, during renovation work. You install the pipe using a preformed plate. The plate must be installed on a completely flat surface.

    XPS

Henco XPS panels have a very low installation height and are used without a screed floor. This ensures the system responds quickly due to its low thermal inertia. The pipes are enclosed with an insulation material to limit heat conduction downwards and an aluminium layer to conduct heat upwards. This system is installed in combination with Henco cross-linked polyethylene pipe (PEXc). You use Henco tile adhesive UFH-DRU-GLUENF to bond the panels to the substrate.
